The Bagri Foundation is delighted to present this lecture on Indian Miniature Painting and connoisseurship with Dr B.N Goswamy.

This lecture will be illustrated with examples from the north Indian miniature tradition, produced mainly between the 16th and 18th centuries.


Dr B.N Goswamy

Dr Goswamy is a distinguished art historian and Professor Emeritus of Art History at the Panjab University, Chandigarh. He is a leading authority on Indian art with his work covering a wide range and is regarding, especially in the area of Pahari painting, to have influenced much thinking. He is the recipient of many honours, including the Jawaharlal Nehru Fellowship, the Rietberg Award from Switzerland for Outstanding Research in Art History, the Padma Shri (1998).
